The Lake Maxinkuckee Environmental Council works hard to protect the lake and its watershed.  They have partnered with the Town of Culver on stormwater issues, the Culver Academies on the re-working of their sewer and stormwater projects, local farmers installing buffer strips along their ditches, patrolling for invasive species like hydrilla, and hosted many educational seminars for those who live or play in the Lake Maxinkuckee community.  The following are a few newsletters and reports – these will be updated quarterly.  All test results are shared with State, County, and local agencies when they are completed.

On August 10th the proposed  Maxinkuckee Village PUD withdrew its petition with the Marshall County Circuit Court to become a Sewer Conservancy District.  The local Judge granted their request and dismissed their petition.
